5G Technology – An Advancement that Will Revolutionize the Way of Communication

There are so many questions surrounding 5G technology. Will 5G change our lives? How will it make them better? To what extent, would it be different from previous generations? Are there any challenges attached to it? And the list is as long as the time being taken to deploy it across the world.

It is 100 times faster than previous internet generations. This means that no more waiting for minutes to get your favourite movie or game downloaded when you can get it done in seconds with 5G. It is possible because 5G is built on super high-frequency airwaves, and the higher the airwaves, the faster the speed.

The distinguishing feature of the 5G revolution is that it is going to benefit every segment of human life. Automobile, healthcare, education, retail, or logistics: the new generation of network will expand and enhance the operation in every field. The benefits of 5G are more as compared to previous networking generations. 5G along with the Internet of Things are game-changers for the world. Together these will bring drastic changes in the community improving data creation and interconnection of devices.

Besides proving advantageous to the world, 5G has several challenges as well. It is true, 5G uses radio waves for sending and receiving data but it will still require fibre optics for transmission. Damage to a single fibre will affect the working of the whole network. Also, walls, windows, tall buildings, and hard surfaces make the traveling of signal difficult. The signals based on super high-frequency airwaves cannot travel far and through hard surfaces. For a city to acquire 5G technology, it has to get carriers deployed everywhere for smooth transmission of signals and barrier-free access. The makers and deployers of this technology are working to make it as better as they can.

Nevertheless, the positive impacts of 5G cannot be ignored. The time is not far when fifth-generation technology will take over the world, and transform how we spend our lives.
